Today we’re excited to announce Retargeting Ad Groups – a new feature in Zemanta that allows marketers to retarget their website visitors across Zemanta’s 100% programmatic native supply.

Retargeting was originally introduced in display advertising almost a decade ago. Over time, the ability to retarget customers has expanded to video and social. With Zemanta, marketers can now extend these tactics to their content marketing campaigns too.

How it works

The ability to retarget audiences with content is a game-changer for marketers. For instance, a luxury jewelry company could reach people who started designing diamond necklaces on its website but didn’t make a purchase. Through retargeting the company can reach these people with product related content to encourage them to finish customizing and purchase online.

Retargeting offers a variety of use cases for marketers:

  • Promote product or service specific content to people who visited your website.
  • Re-engage campaigns for past customers or people who have started the purchase cycle but did not finish.
  • Sequence content to lead new customers down the conversion funnel.

The possibilities are endless!

Getting started

Retargeting customers through Zemanta take two clicks to setup. Create a brand new ad group in the Zemanta dashboard, select the settings tab and scroll down to Retargeting. Select the ad groups you’d like associated with retargeting and you’re done. There’s no pixel implementation or additional settings required.
