Looking for an easy way to spice up those drab, boring emails? Zemanta comes to the rescue! Zemanta now makes it even easier for you to add photos, links, and other related content to your emails with our new extensions for Thunderbird, Outlook 2007, Gmail and Yahoo Mail!
We have had such a great response from people who use Zemanta to enhance their emails, that we decided to take it a step further and offer the same experience for Thunderbird and Outlook email clients! And while we were at it, we introduced a few tweaks to the Gmail and Yahoo Mail versions.

Here are some ideas on how you might want to use Zemanta in email: Make email introductions a breeze by adding your social network contacts into your Zemanta preferences. No more wasting time digging around for a friends Twitter ID, or searching for their Facebook profile. Zemanta will automatically detect when you are writing about someone you know, and offer homepage URLs, user avatars, and even biographies from CrunchBase, making it easy when connecting your friends and acquaintances.
We know that not every email requires content rich text. Zemanta can be a bit much when replying back to confirm a friends invitation for lunch, or dropping a quick message to let someone know your flight landed safely. Because of that, we made a few little changes to the user flow by disabling Zemanta from being automatically enabled, and letting you choose when our content recommendations are activated.
To activate Zemanta for email using Firefox, simply head up to your address bar, click on the little orange Zemanta logo and make sure there is a checkmark next to Enable Zemanta for email.
And in Internet Explorer, take a look down at the lower right hand corner of your browser for the orange Zemanta logo and make sure its enabled as well.
And don’t fear Google Chrome users, we took care of you as well. Pretty much the same process as for Firefox, take a look up in the address bar and make sure that there is a checkmark next to Enable Zemanta for Email
