The holidays are the season to give, and the gang here at Zemanta have been busier than Santa’s elves! After going through our list, and checking it twice, Google Chrome has been so good this year, it is time to deliver a present under the tree.
Let’s cut to the chase: download Zemanta for Google Chrome!
Up until now, we could only support Chrome users via our Zemanta Bookmarklet. Google announced today that full 3rd party extension support, with the release of their Extension Gallery. By downloading the Zemanta Chrome extension, you can now receive the same native Zemified experience as you would with Firefox and Internet Explorer. Zemanta will await you in your blogging dashboard!
Please keep in mind that it is still in a very alpha stage, so some features might act a little wonky. Currently, Google Chrome extensions are only available for Windows users and Linux builds of Chromium. Hopefully Mac support is not too far around the corner. Also, make sure that you are running the beta version of Google Chrome with extensions enabled. And we have also heard reports that our widget is having problems loading in Gmail. Let me assure you that the team is working on a fix as we speak.
We would love it if you could take it for a spin and let us know what you think! And of course, if you notice something acting funny, give us a shout and we will take care of it!
