Zemanta adds IE8 support

It seems that these days, it’s hard not to hear about a new browser or an exciting upgrade to existing one every week. As bloggers try them out as soon as they’re released they usually expect similar level of interest from add-ons developers. We are of course happy to follow along and test our code to ensure that it works on latest and greatest while still keeping compatibility with the more stable versions.

That’s why we’re happy to announce that as of today, we officially support Microsoft Internet Explorer 8. With rumors of IE8 going into final release very soon (IE8 is final now), we want to ensure that you can evaluate this new offering without having to switch to other browsers to get Zemanta experience.

To install Zemanta for Internet Explorer 8, just go to our download page and grab the zemanta.msi file and double-click it. After a quick setup you will be fully ready to go.

With this Zemanta now supports all major browsers: Internet Explorer 7 & 8, Firefox 2 & 3, Safari 3 & 4, Chrome 1 & 2. It’s now easier then ever to find additional content for your blog while you’re writing directly from your favorite browser.
