Using Zemanta with Ubiquity project
Posted by jure, under technology on August 29th, 2008
A few days ago Mozilla Labs announced initial preview of Project Ubiquity that allows you to dynamically create powerful combinations of Website mashup in your Firefox with just a few keystrokes. If you’re not familiar with the project, take a look at the video they created:
Ubiquity for Firefox from Aza Raskin on Vimeo.
Now that you fully understand what is Ubiquity, I can explain Zemanta integration in it. What Bostjan created as a little experiment was to add zemify command to ubiquity that allows you to dynamically query Zemanta for a selected piece of text.
You can try it out by going to our Ubiquity Zemanta example page, and then follow the instructions to get it going in a few clicks. Feel free to use this as a starting point for creating even better Ubiquity scripts.
