Post-Release reviews

Posted by jure, under firstpage, zemanta on August 21st, 2008

A week ago we released a new version of Zemanta, with Live Writer support as one of the biggest improvements. Since then reviews have been appearing all over the blogosphere, and I’ll round up a few of them in this blog post.

Ivana, who blogs at Strategy Stew, wrote a great post titled Flock and Zemanta Target Time-Savvy Social Media Fans, where she praises the innovativeness of Flock and Zemanta:

This entire review and experience has shown me that no matter how entrenched a product can become (i.e. Microsoft Explorer) there is always room for innovation and improvement.  Like most wonderful new “inventions” Zemanta and Flock both came out of a real focus on the user experience and the desire to improve it.

DarcsFalcon wrote a post that’s titled just Zemanta!, but is still a very enthusiastic review of Live Writer and some of her experiences while trying it out.

Blogstring.com also covered the Live Writer experience with post: Zemanta For Windows Live Writer- I Believe The Term Is “Woot.”:

If you’re a blogger and you can only use one plugin to bring your blogging game up a notch (not sure why that would be, but let’s go with it), use Zemanta.

Brandon also kindly wrote a few kinds words over at MSDN blogsZemanta – Well That’s a Fun Little Tool:

Zemanta really seems to be trying to please their customers which is great to see in any company.  It should fit into any bloggers work flow because they have a Windows Live Writer, Firefox, and Internet Explorer plugin

We’ll finish this overview of some of Zemanta reviews with a blog post of Chris Brogan, who mentioned Zemanta in a blog post: Nine Ways to Promote Your Blog Posts:

Try Zemanta. Zemanta is a blogging tool that either adds on to your browser (Firefox only, I think), or comes now as a WordPress plugin. It allows you to find related stories and post them at the bottom of a post. When you’re part of the Zemanta community, I believe your stories also go into their list of potentially related stories. I’ve seen traffic coming in from Zemanta-recommended links.
