Welcome back to Meet the Team Tuesdays! Today it is my pleasure to introduce you to another recent addition to the Zemana team, back-end software engineer, and one of the minds behind our Related Articles engine, Dusan Omercevic!

Q: Was it the fame? The glory? What attracted you to working for Zemanta?

A: I was attracted by a great team. The people at Zemanta are among the best software engineers in Slovenia. Zemanta is the only proper start-up around here that has a large chance to succeed internationally. So for me, it’s the thrill of doing cool stuff together with interesting people. But deep down, I’m a glory seeker

Q: Everyone has to start somewhere! What was your first job?

A: At 16 I started to work on a business directory software. It later sold 30K copies. With the money I earned, I bought myself a Vespa scooter.

Q: What got you into computers?

A: I’m a single child. To keep me entertained, my parents bought me a computer early on. Growing up, my computer was my best friend during childhood. It still is

Q: Who do you look up to in the tech industry?

A: Werner Vogels

Q: What profession outside of the tech industry would you like to attempt?

A: Archeology.

Q: What makes you feel lucky?

A: My two daughters.
