It’s no secret that we love Firefox at Zemanta. It was the first browser we supported as a product and it still makes up the biggest share among our users and developers, too! No one can deny the large impact on the web community and world as a whole that Firefox has had.
We’ve all been in situations where one of our loved ones was running a prehistoric browser and we helped change their perspective by installing that fresh new release of Firefox. Tabs were such a ground-breaking thing, not to mention add-ons which are especially important for the type of software we develop. It’s like software within software within software.
As Firefox’s release cycle sped up, it stopped making sense to have release parties every five weeks (even though we all know people who would be delighted to do it). Having said that — it does make a lot of sense to get the local community together to talk about new features, issues and the path Firefox is taking.
On that note, we’d like to announce a small gathering around Firefox and it’s new tools for developers and beyond, next Wednesday, 28th of September. It will take place at our new offices at Celovška 32 in Ljubljana (also the home of really nice companies like D-labs, LectureHub, Uniki and Modro Oko) as a part of Kiberpipa’s weekly WebHours.
