Even faster Zemanta!

One of the major tasks for us this summer is to significantly increase the speed of Zemanta for everyone. With this in mind, we’ve further enhanced our widget and accompanying extensions and plugins for speed.

There are two major changes in this release that should make the experience faster:
- we’ve rewritten initialization parts of Zemanta to work even faster now. You should see 2-3x speedups in this area.
- we’ve moved parts of our infrastructure to content distribution network, so files are delivered to you from servers closer to your computer. This also makes the whole process much faster.
To make these new changes work even better, we’ve released a new version of our Internet Explorer plugin and we’ll be be releasing a new Zemanta Firefox Extension in next few days.
