About us
Zemanta is building a platform for assisted on-line content production for any web user. Our solution is best demonstrated by taking a text (a blog, an article or a web page) and feeding it into our system. The system recognizes the content and returns suggested images, smart links, keywords and relevant related stories from the Internet. It can be referenced from a user's preferred content publishing platform through a simple plug-in.
For this reason we invest in the development of advanced user-friendly interfaces and smart technologies that can understand the content.

Users expect rich content, rich with information and rich with links, images, illustrations, references. Web-ready content is a mashup.
Users author content . Forums, blogs, social networks, are users' favorite playground for individual expression. They are writing their stories and publish them mashed with rich content elements from across the web. We want to help them tell their stories.
Our Management Team
- Aleš Špetič, Managing Director
During his computer science studies in 1995, Aleš designed and implemented one of the first on-line trading brokerages in Europe and successfully run its operation for two years. He then published a book on advanced SQL programming at O'Reilly Media and moved on trough several IT-related managerial posts in Slovenia, finally serving as CEO of a top IT integrator with 160 employees spread out across three countries. From 2003 to 2007 he established and run his own business development consultancy, helping top Slovenian companies improve their sales performance. He holds an MBA from California State University, Hayward, and is a passionate connoisseur of fine wine, good food and classical jazz. - Andraž Tori, founder; Director, technology
While still in high school, Andraž won two bronze medals at the International Olympiad in Informatics (1998,1999), thus starting his academic track record as a top-class computer sciences student. In 2000 he co-founded Cyberpipe, now a leading Slovenian multimedia centre, working on a cross section of technology, art and society. From 2001 to 2007, he was a core developer of the Cinelerra open source video editing solution. Andraž is our research and development lead. He is a hyperactive knowledge-absorbing aficionado, addicted to media reasoning, IP rights logic and Internet ethics. - Boštjan Špetič, founder; Director, products
As a philosophy student Boštjan was involved in several contemporary art performances as a multimedia and technology consultant; he then joined Cyberpipe, a cybercafe/on-line university community, where he worked as project manager and managed more than 50 projects between 2003 and 2007. He is our team building champion and community use case expert. Boštjan loves art, philosophy and observing quirky social phenomena.
